Yahoo Mail is one of the most popular platforms out there for receiving and sending mail. Sometimes you may want to send an e-mail to one of your friends, but you just cannot remember what their e-mail address is. A great idea would be to import your contacts from Facebook. This will not only make finding contacts easier, but it will save you the trouble of looking up a contact again. You can do this from your desktop or laptop computer.
- Open your Internet browser:
On the search bar, type in www.Yahoo.com to take you to the Yahoo home page.
- Sign in to Yahoo Mail:
On the Yahoo home page, click on the purple “Mail” button located on the top-left side of the screen. A new page will load where you sign in with your Yahoo ID and password.
- Go to your Yahoo Address Book:
Once you are logged in, you will be on your Yahoo Mail home page where you will see five small icons on the top-left side of your screen. The first one is the envelope icon, which is the default selection. To its right is the book icon, which is actually your address book. Click on it.
- Import contacts from Facebook:
With the address book selected, the screen will load, and at the top, it will say “Import Contacts” along with different places from where you can import contacts. Select “Import” right next to the Facebook button.
- Allow Yahoo to access your Facebook:
Selecting Facebook will bring up a window that will inform you that Yahoo wants to access your Facebook. In the lower-right corner of that box, select “Okay” to continue.
- Sync your contacts:
After allowing Yahoo access to your Facebook, you may be asked for your username and password. If you are, simply click on “Okay” again, and all of your Facebook contacts will now be synced with Yahoo.
